According to For Bloomberg, professors Stanford Law School Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried conducted talks with legal advisors and associated with the “Internal Circle of Trump” about pardoning for their son, who currently serving a 25-year sentence for fraud.

Trump’s previous apply of its pardon, especially in high -profile cases, such as the founder of Silk Road, Ross Ulbricht, aroused the interest of the accused white color seeking similar gentleness.

While Ulbricht’s case has gained significant support from the cryptocurrency community and libertarian supporters, Bloomberg notes that fried bankman does not have the same level of support.

Fryed Banham himself argued, however, that his 25-year sentence is excessive, especially since most FTX customers reportedly regained their initial losses.

In addition to the fried Bankman, Ryan Salame, a former executive director of FTX, who received a sentence of over seven years, is also looking for pardon, which indicates a broader trend among people involved in the FTX saga.

Early pardon of Trump

It seems that the nature of Trump’s pardon strategy has changed since his first term, when most of the pardon activities concentrated at the end of his presidency. In contrast to this, the president reportedly considers pardon earlier, including for people from both political environments.

While Bankman himself was once fried with a significant democratic donor, Trump also showed readiness to aid democrats who claim that they are victims of political proceedings.

Interestingly, Bloomberg emphasizes both fried Bankman and Trump divide a common opponent in the American regional judge Lewis A. Kaplan, who presided over the trial-fried bankman, and also supervised legal challenges with Trump’s participation. Both numbers criticized the priest for the perceived “injustice” in their cases.

Legal scholar Alan Dershowitz, who earlier facilitated the pardon of several people during the first term of Trump, also received inquiries for aid. He noticed that while interest in pardon is growing, Trump is currently busy with other matters.
