US Basketball Star’s Post on Bitcoin Delights Cryptocurrency Community

Published on:

Six-time NBA champion Scottie Pippen is making headlines again, this time for his bullish stance on Bitcoin. On Wednesday, Chicago Bulls star Pippen addressed his more than 674,400 followers (formerly Twitter) and said: “Bullish Bias on Bitcoin” with the hashtag #BeLikeSatoshi.

It has since become a hotly debated topic among its supporters in the cryptocurrency community.

Pippen’s Bitcoin Dream and Price Predictions

What’s even more engaging about Pippen’s statements is that he linked them to Satoshi Nakamotopseudonym of the founder of Bitcoin.

In an earlier tweet, Pippen apparently claimed that in one of his dreams, Satoshi predicted that the price of Bitcoin would reach $84,650 on November 5, 2024.

Reactions from the station’s fans were mixed. Some were excited about the prospect, while others doubted whether such a prediction – based on a dream – would come true.

Many in the community agreed with Pippen, especially with Bitcoin now hovering around $57,070 after a recent 4.5% augment. After two months, the idea that Bitcoin would drop at this point is being examined more closely to see what could cause it to rise.

Some analysts believe that factors such as planned interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve could continue to drive bitcoin prices higher.

Cryptocurrency community reaction

However, most of the reactions regarding Pippen’s tweet supported. The official account of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken even posted a joking remark: “Bulls will be bulls, right Scottie?”

A response like this from more prominent platforms makes Pippen’s bullish stance all the more worthwhile. X users began asking him for his thoughts on various altcoins, proving that his influence did indeed extend far beyond Bitcoin.

That excitement only grew when Pippen made a joking remark about fellow Bitcoin bull Michael Saylor. Saylor recently appeared in an interview with CNBC where he went so far as to predict that Bitcoin could soar to $13 million per coin in the next 21 years.

Pippen responded to Saylor’s lofty prediction by jokingly asking if Satoshi had told him that in a dream. The airy exchange showed how public figures are increasingly going hand in hand with the cryptocurrency narrative—a mix of humor and sedate investment discussions.

The Massive Picture

Celebrities are becoming increasingly interested in cryptocurrencies, like Pippen. As more celebrities promote Bitcoin, their followers are also starting to take an interest in the digital currency. Bitcoin’s potential to become a mainstream asset is growing, especially with the upcoming US presidential election, where candidates like Donald Trump have shown a pro-cryptocurrency bias.
