The cryptocurrency community is witnessing a virtual clash between Cardano founder, Charles Hoskinson and Ripple Chief Technology Officer (CTO), David Schwartz. The two crypto giants are clashing over Ripple’s current regulatory challenges and allegations surrounding it ETH Gateway.
Hoskinson and Schwartz enter into a heated debate
Tensions in the crypto community rose when Hoskinson and Schwartz became involved in wa fiery debate regarding allegations of conspiracy within the Ethereum community and Ripple legal battle ongoing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The controversy began when Hoskinson publicly addressed rumors that claimed The Ethereum community has had an influence on regulatory decisions Ripple case by allegedly bribing the SEC to deal with XRP. Cardano’s founder has strongly rejected these allegations, calling them baseless conspiracy theories that lack credible evidence.
Quick rebuttal, Schwartz questions raised about a potential conflict of interest William Hinman, former director of the US SEC. Ripple’s CTO suggested that Hinman, having a financial interest in Ethereum and withdrawing, may have swayed regulatory decisions in Ethereum’s favor, potentially influencing legal proceedings against Ripple.
“Isn’t the conventional argument for ETH Gate precisely about how it was that the SEC drew and interpreted this line in such a way that ETH was on the good side and XRP was on the bad side?” Schwartz asked.
Cardano founder faces backlash from the XRP community
Hoskinson in the next post criticized Schwartz for allegedly spreading false information regarding allegations about the Ethereum community’s influence on Ripple’s legal battle with US SEC. He clarified that he has never taken a position on the rumors and arguments surrounding the ETH Gateway, rather his statements have consistently revolved around the belief that someone in the industry The Ethereum community bribed the SEC to target XRP.
Responding to a comment by Hoskinson, an XRP supporter and cryptocurrency member accused Cardano’s founder constantly uses a foreword in his posts to evoke sympathy rather than directly addressing the core issue. The member also suggested that Hoskinson often portrays himself as a victim in the crypto community while refusing to change his opinions.

Hoskinson then challenged the XRP supporter using vulgar language, demanding evidence to support the member’s claims Ethereum Community had a direct impact on the Ripple and SEC legal proceedings.
Another community member did too accused Hoskinson for distorting and presenting false information allegations made by the XRP community. An XRP supporter criticized the Cardano founder for exacerbating the issue by insulting the XRP community and Schwartz while adopting a “narcissistic victim” attitude.
Hoskinson defended his position, stating that he was not wrong and reinforced his belief that SEC bribery allegations by the Ethereum community were and “always have been a conspiracy theory.”
