From seed expression to digital control centers

The cryptographic industry has recently found itself on the headlines of regulatory battles, speculation or hacks, but behind noise, portfolio, entry point for most people to the world of digital resources, they quietly evolve and transform, which means participation in the Web3 economy.

Episode of this week Clear Crypto podcastBrought by Starkware and Cointelegraph, diving to the future of cryptocurrency portfolios with Jess Houlgrave, general director of RENN, the company for PurletConnect, in order to examine how wallets change from niche cryptographic tools to “control centers” for digital life.

The variety of cryptographic portfolio

“I don’t think there is one best wallet, because what every person or company may want from the wallet will change a very huge amount,” said Houlgrave.

“Some people may want to prioritize speed, ease of access … At the other end of the spectrum, if I am a company, I look at huge amounts of cryptocurrencies to trade. A type of wallet that I want will be very, very different.”

This spectrum of needs has fueled rapid evolution. Early barriers, such as seed expression and misleading gas fees, begin to disappear.

“At the moment I am really optimistic because I think that the best in class wallets actually solved these problems,” she said. “Now there is a lot more optionality that allows end users to choose and choose.”

Web3 tech web 2.0 simplicity

Houlgrave emphasized the importance of the web3 composition with simplicity of Web2:

“Over time, we think about how we close this gap, which exists between the impressions of Web2 and the Web3 support …”

He says that using a wallet should be as effortless as opening the application, logging in in a familiar way and obtaining all the benefits of cryptocurrencies, but without a compromise about the user’s experience.

But what about cryptographic purists worrying about the loss of decentralization when wallets become more user -friendly? Houlgrave argued that the choice is crucial.

“Personally, I use different portfolios in different ways … I think we are looking for both the experience in the wallet, ensuring the optionality you need in the field of security and self -gone, along with the possibility of experiencing some Web3 benefits in a different way.”

Looking to the future, wallets can go far beyond money management. Houlgrave said he could become almost a “whole bag.”

“It has my identity, my logins, my data … My medical documentation, my educational achievements, my references at work, in which I pay tax, land register for the house I have, influence and guarantees on buying a fridge. All these things make full meaning to us to keep a portfolio structure.”
