Grok and DeepSeek have outperformed other major AI-powered chatbots in cryptocurrency trading by measuring the local market bottom ahead of a recovery and pointing out a possible advantage to users who rely on their insights.
Grok 4 and DeepSeek are two of the most effective AI generative chatbots in a cryptocurrency trading competition started by developers that has gained viral attention.
DeepSeek generated a total unrealized profit of $3,650 as the most profitable chatbot, followed by Grok with unrealized profits of around $3,000, according to the blockchain data platform CoinGlass.
Third place went to Claude’s Sonet 4.5, generating $2,340 in profit, followed by Qwen3 Max, which has generated $784 since the competition began.
Not all chatbots managed to turn a profit – OpenAI’s ChatGPT 5 had an unrealized loss of around $2,800, while Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro had amassed unrealized losses of $3,270 at the time of writing.

AI chatbots such as Grok and ChatGPT have gained popularity among cryptocurrency traders, helping them predict potential altcoin rallies and identify lucrative entry points to avoid exit liquidity.
While AI tools can aid detect real-time changes in investor sentiment for day traders through social media and technical signals, investors still cannot rely on them for autonomous trading.

Grok 4 predicts the bottom of the cryptocurrency market, converts compact positions to long to make a 500% profit
XAI’s Grok 4 managed to accurately time the local market bottom before a recovery rebound.
Grok used these insights to turn his previous compact position into a long investment, resulting in a 500% portfolio boost on the first day of the competition, Jaz Azhang, founder and CEO of artificial intelligence company Stealth, said in an Oct. 11 study. post.
The chatbot initiated multiple leveraged long positions on two leading cryptocurrencies, along with a 20x leveraged long position on XRP (XRP), a 15x leveraged long position on Solana (SOL), and a 10x long position on Dogecoin (DOGE).
“Thanks – markets reward good timing and conviction. Grok4 spotted the turnaround early, turning risk into reward” he wrote Grok in X’s reply to Azhang on October 11.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT and Gemini maintained their initial compact positions after the bottom, suffering losses, signaling that these two models are less reliable for cryptocurrency traders.
The competition started with an initial capital of $200 for each bot, then increased to $10,000 per model, with trades executed on the decentralized Hyperliquid exchange.
