Founded in 2001 by industry consultant Tony Crabtree during the telecommunications and internet crisis, Juniper Research has evolved into a leading research firm specializing in the mobile and digital technology sectors in Europe. The Future Digital Awards recognize organizations that have made a significant contribution to their industry and have the potential to make a significant impact in the future.

The selection process includes an initial review by a panel of Juniper Research analysts who evaluate entries based on criteria such as product innovation, features and benefits, strategic partnerships, certification and compliance, and future business prospects. Shortlisted candidates go through a scoring process and the winners are approved by an expert judging panel.

Ripple Payments has been hailed as the first solution to solve “multi-trillion-dollar challenges” in cross-border payments through the large-scale operate of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies.

Several other companies from various sectors were also recognized in the Future Digital Awards. Among other things, in the area of ​​banking innovation, SAP Fioneer received the Platinum Award for Innovation in Banking as a Service for its Virtual Account Management solution. For innovation in digital identity, Signicat was honored with a Platinum Award for its MobileID.

TreviPay’s Financial Partner Gateway service won the Platinum Award in the Banking Innovation of the Year category. In the open banking innovation category, Token.io won a platinum award and Mastercard’s open banking account opening category won a gold award.

In the “CBDC Innovation” category, EMTECH’s Beyond Suite won the Platinum Award, while Ripple was honored with the Gold Award, another distinction for the company.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Ripple has been recognized by Juniper Research. Last year, Ripple received a platinum award for “CBDC Innovation” in the Future Digital Awards for Fintech & Payments 2023.
