The Coinbase Layer-2 network base can soon start a native token, said the creator of Jesse Pollak at Basecamp.

According to Base, a up-to-date token can support decentralization and extend the possibilities for builders and creators. “We are at the early stages of our exploration and we have no details to share about time, design or management”, network he said Monday.

The basis is blockchain layer 2 built on Ethereum and incubated by Coinbase. Provides transactions in offchain before settling on Ethereum.

Speaking at the Basecamp party, Pollak also announced beginning Open Source for Solana bridge, enabling users to move assets between two chains and enabling programmers to employ a wider liquidity pool.

The base outlines why the token is now considering
