Eighty-eight corporate leaders have joined forces in a letter endorsing U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. Chris Larsen, co-founder and CEO of Ripple, was one of the signatories of the “strategic” letter endorsing the Democratic candidate.
This significant endorsement comes just a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his support for Harris.

Ahead of the US election, several public figures, corporate leaders, politicians and industry representatives endorsed former US President Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign. The Republican candidate’s industry-friendly approach gained him massive support from the sector, amassing millions in crypto donations.
The community also has maintained Democratic candidate and US Vice President Kamala Harris, organizing a number of initiatives and fundraisers to support her campaign, despite her undisclosed stance on cryptocurrencies.
On Friday, CNBC reported that eighty-eight corporate leaders had signed a letter revealing their support for Vice President Harris. Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen joined the supporters of the presidential candidate amid the company’s legal battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
However, the purpose of the letter was not to “convince the public to vote for Harris.” The report explained that the letter was intended to serve as a “well-timed political show of force” ahead of the September 10 debate against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
The endorsement said the signatories believe the Democratic nominee is “the best way to support the continued strength, security, and reliability of our democracy and economy.” It added that Harris’ election would continue in a “healthy business environment” supported by the business community.

The list of signatories includes several high-profile CEOs of public companies, such as Aaron Levie of Box and Jeremy Stoppelman of Yelp. Additionally, former PayPal CEO Dan Schulman and former 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch joined the letter.
More figures support Kamala Harris’ campaign
Pro-crypto billionaire Mark Cuban has joined Ripple co-founder in a letter of support. Cuban has previously participated in some crypto community initiatives, such as Crypto4Harris, aimed at supporting the Democratic candidate and pushing for a affable approach to the sector.
Global leaders also showed support for Harris’ selection. On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin endorsed the Democratic nominee’s campaign.
During the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Putin revealed that the Russian government will follow Biden’s recommendation and support Kamala Harris. The world leader also complimented Vice President’s laughter after his statement:
I once said that if we could name a favorite candidate, it would be Joe Biden, but he is not running for office now. He recommended supporting [Kamala] Harris. So that’s what we’ll do… Her laugh is so mesmerizing. It means that all is well.
The Democratic presidential candidate’s growing support comes amid reports that her campaign is accepting cryptocurrency donations. It was recently announced that the vice president’s camp is using commerce platform Coinbase for donations.
It was later clarified that Harris had not directly begun accepting cryptocurrency donations. Instead, the Democratic candidate’s official political action committee (PAC), Future Forward, joined the platform and now accepts digital assets. Nevertheless, this could suggest a more open, affable shift by Harris’ campaign toward the sector.
