Since the layer 1 networks encounter pressure to maintain meaning, the supporters of Ethereum suggest a novel path forward: it will be layer 2 on Ethereum.
On Monday, Jason Chaskin, which conducts reports and application research at Ethereum Foundation, caused Conversation after saying that most of the layer 1 will be Ethereum layer 2S. He pointed to the recent Celo transition as a plan.
Chaskin said that the crossing of Celo allowed the network to limit inflation, improve its code, accelerate the time of blocks and integrate with Ethereum, which, as he said, has “the largest development community in cryptography.”
On Wednesday, co -founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin joined A conversation suggesting a path for people interested in building a layer network 2.
Vitalik Buterin suggests the L2S building path
Bemein repeated and expanded to a statement, saying that the best way to build L2 is to rely on the strengths of Ethereum, which include security, data availability and resistance to censorship.
He said that networks could reduce their logic to being a sequencer and proverb in relation to basic performance.
Instead of inventing a circle and rebuilding everything, Barein suggested that L2S can do as little as possible, and focus on the sequencer, which determines the order of the transaction and its proverb, which generates proof that transactions are correct and correctly made.
Buterin said that this approach reaches “minimization and efficiency of trust” blockchain blockchain in 2010, but could not be delivered.
“Now, thanks to Ethereum L2s, you can achieve it,” wrote Baryin. “We have already seen successful examples of L1 function protecting users’ rights if something goes wrong on L2.”
The comments of Chakin and Botyka emphasize the change in the approach to the blockchain network. When Ethereum strengthens its network, the duo suggests that the most strategic movement can stop competing with Ethereum and start building on it.

Ethereum Foundation Posts Map Map for integration ZKEVM
Buterin’s comments appeared after the Ethereum Foundation announced a plan to integrate the zero knowledge of the Ethereum virtual machine with the network in one year.
On July 11, Sophia Gold, a developer in the Ethereum Foundation support team (EF), published a plan to replace classic blocks in the network with zero knowledge of evidence (ZK-resistance).
Thanks to this, Walidacze would only have to check ZK-resistant instead of restarting transaction blocks to verify them.
